Burial Vault Installer / Graveside Service Technician

We are a family-owned fourth-generation company seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Burial Vault Installer to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe transportation, setup, and installation of burial vaults at cemetery sites, as well as preparing the graveside area for services. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high standards of apperance, safety, and respect during funerals and interments. Job Details and Responsibilities

  • Transport burial vaults and equipment to cemetery locations using company vehicles.
  • Prepare the graveside area by setting up burial vaults according to safety and manufacturer specifications.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as vault setting devices, lowering devices, and other tools used in burial setup.
  • Set up tents, chairs, grass, and other ceremonial materials for graveside services.
  • Ensure the site is clean, respectful, and presentable before and after the service.
  • Coordinate with funeral directors, cemetery personnel, and other staff to ensure timely and professional service delivery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, especially when working around open graves.
  • Maintain detailed service logs and complete paperwork as required.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspection of vault-setting equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and three years driving experience.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (typically 75 lbs. or more) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Respectful and professional demeanor appropriate for funeral and cemetery environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Precast Concrete Burial Vault Manufacturer

We are a family-owned fourth-generation company seeking a reliable and hardworking Precast Concrete Burial Vault Manufacturer to join our team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality concrete burial vaults in a precast manufacturing facility, including batching, pouring, finishing, and painting concrete products. The ideal candidate has experience working with concrete, follows safety protocols, and maintains a clean and efficient production environment. Job Details and Responsibilities

  • Batch concrete using an automated batching system to meet mix design specfications for burial vaults.
  • Set up and prepare forms for concrete burial vaults, including installing reinforcement, apply form oil, and ensuring proper alignment.
  • Pour and finish concrete into molds using hand tools, vibrators, and equipment to ensure a smooth and properly compacted finish.
  • Strip forms once the concrete has cured sufficiently, ensuring product integrity and safety.
  • Perform quality control checks on all products to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Paint and personalize burial vaults according to customer specification, which many include applying base coats, decorative finishes, decals, emblems, nameplates, or custom artwork.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  • Asist with repairs, painting, and sealing of burial vaults as required. 
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of concrete materials.

Qualifications

  • Experience in concrete or precast manufacturing is a plus, but on-the-job training will also be provided.
  • Ability to read and understand mix designs, production instructions, and safety documentation.
  • Familiarity with concrete batching systems, hand tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs., stand for long periods, and work in dusty or outdoor conditions.
  • Attention to details and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Work Environment

  • Industrial precast concrete manufacturing facility with exposure to dust, noise, weather, and heavy machinery.
  • Full-time position with standard hours; overtime work may be required during peak production periods.
